The Arts Administration program is one of the most unique and flexible programs of its kind in the country. Designed to encourage exploration in the arts and culture industry (and beyond) the program led me through an educational track paired with real-world internship experiences that helped me land my first job immediately after graduation. I am so thankful for the people I met and the experiences I had at Butler. -Riley Hill-Kartel, '17
Since graduating with a MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship in 2013, I had the amazing opportunity to work with the Ministry Of Culture in Barbados toward having the First ever Cultural Industries Development Bill passed in Barbados. The Bill was made Act of Parliament in February 2015, and it made provisions for the establishment of the Cultural Industries Development Authority, which I help establish with a wonderful team of creatives where I currently work as Head of The Business...
My time as an MA student in Cultural Policy, Relations and Diplomacy at Goldsmiths University was phenomenally engaging. The core issues tackled by the curricula were embedded right in the campus, the institute and the captivating city of London.
Weekly international guest speakers and out-of-classroom assignments were a terrific addition to hearty and very diverse courses.
The Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship allowed me to question what I wanted to learn, how and...
A love of museums connects Arts and Cultural Management student with the world around her
Junwei in the Learning Collection Room at the Royal Alberta Museum.
I lived next to a museum in Kaifeng. As much as I loved that museum, it wasn’t really popular, despite Kaifeng’s 4,100-year history. It was dark and shabby, and there was a lack of conservation. People only visited when there were school trips or seminars. But it’s a childhood landmark to me and I love it. I always thought...
MA in Luxury Brand Management has contributed not only to the comprehensive acquisition of new knowledge but also became a breakthrough in my career. It is worth to note that the structure of the programme is very well organised, therefore the concept of luxury is viewed from different perspectives. In addition to the required modules, there was an impressive selection of optional modules where students can choose the most suitable for them. Moreover, the guest lectures, which were on an...

I work within the Cultural Exchange and Planning team at the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, a designated institute under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The BA Arts Management course features a well-balanced curriculum, focussing not just on the practical aspects but also on academic theory. I was able to learn about diverse cultural theories and experience the arts and culture field first-hand at the same time, coming to a deeper understanding of the...

I found a handful of Arts Management courses around the UK but the more I learnt about Goldsmiths, the more I liked it. I spoke to previous students who had nothing but positive things to say about the university and I fell in love with the area, but the one thing that really sold me on attending Goldsmiths was the way the course was structured, giving students the freedom to pick a wide range of optional modules and customise their degree to their interest.
Shortly after starting my studies...
