Goals and Objectives

Diversity & Social Responsibility: Explain and demonstrate the best practices of corporate social responsibility, diversity, and decision-making in the workplace.

Communication: Employ written and oral communication skills to convey clear and organized information to target audiences for analytical reports.

Information Literacy: Find, evaluate and use information effectively, ethically and legally from a variety of formats, both traditional and technological, commonly used in the industry.

Problem Solving: Analyze problems and develop solutions to facilitate management decision-making.

Ethics: Develop and implement reasoning and reflection skills to practice ethical decision-making, given data on what is morally/ethically at stake in the situation.

The SAEM program builds upon the strength of Point Park's nationally-ranked Conservatory of Performing Arts — a perfect platform for training on the business side of this career path. SAEM courses in arts management have helped aspiring arts administrators launch their careers and provided dancers with skills in studio business operations. The curriculum combines a business core along with courses in performing arts touring and presenting, producing Broadway and regional theatre, and fundraising.

Additionally, Pittsburgh's Cultural District is just blocks away from campus, offering students with the opportunity to work in theatre, ballet, opera and dance. The Carnegie Museums, the Carnegie Science Center and the Andy Warhol Museum are also nearby.

As an undergraduate, graduate or international student at Point Park, you’ll have access to opportunities only a world-class city can offer — and few universities can match — for a real-world, career-oriented education.

Whether you are a first-time freshman, transfer or returning student, or plan to go to school on a part-time basis, Point Park University has a bachelor’s degree program tailored for you.
