SDA Bocconi School of Management


Leveraging Italy’s excellence in cultural heritage and artistic production, the Specialized Master in Arts Management and Administration (MAMA) is a full-time 1-year program in English, offering 70 ECTS/CFU credits, designed for talented students from all over the world, with international vocation profiles and a passion for the arts.
MAMA aims to support artistic innovation and cultural development worldwide, by strengthening the leadership and management skills required for arts organizations to thrive, and for your career to flourish in a wide range of organizations operating in the arts sector.


Goals and Objectives

MAMA addresses young professionals, typically humanities graduates, with work experience in the arts and culture sector, e.g. in junior or middle management level positions in public, private link or non-profit arts organizations. The program intends to advance professional development, giving a specialized managerial background, an entrepreneurial outlook, and solid foundations in management, including practical, creative, and professional skills.

Admissions

Participants must possess a strong educational background and a certain level of professional experience. A university degree is required, with preference for candidates with a background in the Humanities or any Social Sciences. Two years of professional experience (preferably internationally) are also required. Non-native English speakers must submit a TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic or CAE certificate. Candidates whose application meets the above criteria can proceed to the following steps of the selection process, consisting of a test to assess their quantitative, logical, and verbal reasoning skills, and a selection interview to assess their soft skills, motivation, and compatibility with the program. Only candidates who pass all selection stages receive an admission offer.
