Arts Management


The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts is one of the best places to get an undergraduate degree in Arts Management. Majoring in Arts Management at MCLA provides a unique and rigorous curriculum that gives students the opportunity to pursue an interdisciplinary arts major while they obtain a liberal arts education.



Goals and Objectives

*A total immersion in the planning, operations, leadership and management of cultural organizations using an interdisciplinary approach to learning
*A strong background in art, music and theatre combined with marketing, finance, strategic planning, leadership, grant writing, and fundraising
*Expertise in museum studies, performing arts management, community arts, arts education and artist entrepreneurship
*Double major with performing arts, art, history or minor with other majors.


Curriculum

MCLA offers a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management, an Arts Management Minor and a Public History Minor. Students are strongly encouraged to double major or minor in an artistic discipline.
