C. Lorenzo Evans III

C. Lorenzo Evans III is a Washington, DC, native with a unique background in organizational financial management and the performing arts. As a business professional, Lorenzo has led the fiscal management and analysis divisions for such organizations as the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center of the University of Maryland, the Smithsonian Institution, and international retailer Westfield Corporation. In his current role, Lorenzo is the Director of Finance and Chief Operating Officer of Washington Performing Arts where he has successfully led the furtherance of the organization’s new business model and concomitant organizational sizing and scope development. At Washington Performing Arts, Lorenzo has also successfully led the development of standard financial and board of directors reporting, along with strengthening the company’s human resources practices, and information technology infrastructure. Lorenzo is a member of the Washington, D.C. Chamber of Commerce and a board member of several arts focused non-profit organizations in the Washington D.C. region. Along with his extensive background in corporate finance and administration, Lorenzo is a choreographer, dancer and musician who has traveled the world instructing and performing for many years. Known for his soulful choreographic and dynamic teaching styles, Lorenzo has worked with many popular music artists, and partnered with national and international arts organizations throughout his artistic career. Lorenzo holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Spanish from Temple University and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Maryland University College.
