AAAE Conference Scholarship Fund

The Association of Arts Administration Educators is thrilled to announce that applications for the 2024 Conference Scholarship fund are now open! The Scholarship Fund is designed to provide financial assistance to emerging arts administrators who would not be able to attend AAAE’s annual conference without support. The scholarship fund is made possible by individual contributions.
About the Conference
Intersections & Innovations
May 23-26, 2024, Universidad Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico
This year’s theme is “Intersections and Innovations,” reflecting the dynamic and interdisciplinary nature of arts administration education and practice. We are delighted to explore these topics against the backdrop of Puerto Rico’s multifaceted creative landscape and the cross-disciplinary profile of our host, the School of Arts, Design, and Creative Industries, which houses programs in visual arts, music, performing arts, design, creative writing, and creative industries.
Who Can Apply?
Emerging arts administration educators and current students who are AAAE members are eligible to apply.
More specifically, this includes:
  • Еmerging educators (up to five academic years of teaching), regardless of their geographic location
  • Current undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of their geographic location

Scholarship
Selected candidates will receive:
  • Up to $500 stipend
  • Complimentary registration to the conference
Successful candidates are expected to attend all conference days, acknowledge the support of AAAE in any relevant public presentations/posts, and submit a feedback survey.
How to Apply?
Please fill out the following application form and upload your Curriculum Vitae or Résumé and Statement of Interest (up to 700 words). The Statement of Interest needs to address:
  • Why do you want to attend the conference and how do you relate to this year’s conference theme?
  • How will your participation at the conference contribute to your professional development?
  • How will you apply the conference experience to your studies or teaching?
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Deadline: April 18, 2024 by 11:59 EDT.
