As one of the largest networks of higher education arts administration educators, AAAE recognizes its responsibility to cultivate a just, equitable, and diverse environment for teaching and learning. We are in a distinctive position to affect change for the field because of our proximity to students, who are the creative workforce of the future. We are deeply committed to elevating marginalized voices and removing barriers to participation in the field of arts.
AAAE hosts an annual, year-long paid EDI Research Fellowship. Since its inception, the Fellowship has enabled five fellows to investigate the intersection of EDI and arts management programs and has nourished an EDI-responsible learning environment for arts administrators.
