What initially drew you to AAAE?
While pursuing my master’s degree at NYU, I learned about the Best Student Paper Award offered by AAAE. The award’s emphasis on academic excellence and its connection to advancing the field of arts administration immediately resonated with me. I expressed my interest in being nominated and was fortunate to win the first edition of the award. This recognition led to the opportunity to present my research at the AAAE conference in New York and fast-tracked the review of my paper that was later published in the International Journal of Arts Management. This experience marked the start of a meaningful relationship with AAAE and its vibrant community.
What specific resources or programs offered by AAAE have been most valuable to you?
The annual conference has been particularly valuable, as it has provided a platform to exchange ideas, present research, and stay updated on emerging trends in the field. Additionally, the mentorship opportunities have been instrumental in both my professional development and my ability to mentor others effectively. As a mentor myself, I’ve also found inspiration from more experienced members who have shared their insights and experiences, shaping my approach to teaching and leadership.
